A little extra support, when it’s needed
Respite care offers a short stay at Wimbledon Villa when someone needs support while their usual carer takes a break, or when staying at home isn’t manageable for a while. Stays depend on room availability and whether we can safely meet the person’s care needs.
Before you arrive, we’ll get to know the important things — medications, mobility, personal care, routines and food preferences. While you’re here, you can join activities, spend time in the garden or simply enjoy a change of scene.
Day care may also be available for people who need support during the day without staying overnight.
We can also provide palliative and end-of-life care for residents, with a focus on comfort, dignity and keeping family and whānau closely involved.
Whether it’s a day, a short stay or support through a more difficult time, we’ll take the time to understand what matters to you.
